Happy King Turkey Day to everyone out there, whether you’re from Worthington, used to live in Worthington, have been to Worthington or don’t even know where the heck Worthington is.

I am caught up in the midst of all the King Turkey Day hoopla, and probably having the time of my life. Not only will I get to see wonderful friends from our Great Gobbler Gallop rival city, Cuero, Texas, but also it’s my 30-year (gasp!) class reunion and a family reunion of sorts.

Such occasions also mean that I have company, and it’s been a frenzy of cleaning and house preparations in advance of the weekend. Now I’m ready to sit back, have a beer or two in the beer garden and enjoy the company of wonderful friends and family.
