In a matter of a few minutes, I’ve got to head down to Sailboard Beach to situate food vendors for the 2011 Worthington Windsurfing Regatta and Unvarnished Music Festival. My mouth is already watering for some cheese curds, a gyro and an elephant ear.
So much for my healthy diet! But I always figure the Regatta comes but once a year. I shall eat, drink and be merry while it’s here, and diet and exercise after it’s over! (That’s also my philosophy regarding vacation, holidays and King Turkey Day.)
I would encourage anyone who is in the vicinity — and all those who are not but are up for a road trip — to head to Worthington this weekend.
The forecast may call for a small amount of rain, but we’re going to get that out of the way early and have a beautiful sunny rest of the weekend.
There will be wonderful music, lots of good food worth breaking a diet for and windsurfers from all over the country who are just waiting to make your acquaintance.
