Need I say more?
Well, actually, I should. It’s a Monday following four days away from my Daily Globe desk. Which means I returned to a full email inbox and a number of things that needed somewhat immediate attention.
It is now 3 p.m., and I’ve finally tied up most of the loose ends that needed tying up. I am taking a moment for a deep breath and to write this before I dive into the pressing matters of what will fill up the Daily Globe’s Life pages this week.
One of the items on my agenda is a story about the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha, Neb. Hubby Bryan and I paid a visit there about a month ago, on a gorgeous almost 90-degree day when everyone else in the general vicinity also thought it was a great day to go to the zoo. The zoo was a figurative zoo.
You can read about our zoological safari in Saturday’s Daily Globe.
But before then, I will try to share a bit about our most recent trip to Omaha — the aforementioned four-day weekend — which was for the purpose of attending Omaha’s very first Beerfest event. I will try to blog about that tomorrow or Wednesday.
