After a four-day weekend, it’s back to reality here at the Daily Globe.
Hubby Bryan and I took a couple days off to celebrate my birthday, which was Sunday, and Valentine’s Day. We spent a couple of days in the Twin Cities, walking the skyway system from our downtown Minneapolis hotel, eating way too much, seeing some old friends and just enjoying our time together.
The most notable thing about this trip was that it was far less adventurous than our pre-Christmas excursion, when Minneapolis got 20-plus inches of snow and the Metrodome roof collapsed. We didn’t have to hurdle snowbanks, drive on treacherous roads or endure two hours on the light rail train.
In the long run, our Holly Jolly Adventure in December might be more memorable, but I’ll take this latest version of the weekend getaway anytime.
