Off to a rocky road start

I had blog writing on my to-do list first thing this morning. But I got waylaid by other matters and forgot.

So it’s back to the Cookie Calendar for a recipe to share today.

Rocky Road

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Melt 6 tablespoons butter and add 1½ cups graham cracker crumbs and 2 tablespoons superfine sugar. Press into the base of an 8-inch square pan lined with foil.

Sprinkle 1 cup chopped pecans over the crust and bake for 10 minutes. Remove bars from oven and scatter 2 cups miniature marshmallows and 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips over the crust.

Return the pan to the oven for about 10 minutes until the marshmallows melt. Cool completely before removing from the pan and cutting into squares.
