My stainless steel refrigerator looks almost as good as it did in the showroom.
In the midst of last week’s kitchen cleaning frenzy — OK, it wasn’t exactly a frenzy, but a determined undertaking — I discovered one little household hint that I must pass along.
Although I love the look of stainless steel appliances, keeping them looking good is a chore. Hubby Bryan and I have tried just about every product on the market in hopes of finding the miracle product that will get rid of the fingerprints, drips and smudges, or at least make them less noticeable.
I happened upon the answer quite by accident. As I made my way around the kitchen, cleaning the cabinets and polishing them with Holloway House lemon oil, I leaned over to wipe off yet another smudge on the stainless, using the oil-soaked rag in my hand. Lo and behold, the mark disappeared and the finish was restored to its former luster. Within about 30 seconds, I had cleaned the entire face of the fridge, leaving behind an even shine that it hadn’t reflected since purchase.
Several days later, it still looks pretty good.
Lemon oil — who’d a thunk?
