How can it be Monday again already? And the Monday that’s just 10 days until Christmas?

Hubby Bryan and I spent the weekend in the Twin Cities — downtown Minneapolis, actually — taking in the Holidazzle parade with friends. This was the second annual Holidazzle getaway for our group of friends, and although our numbers this year dwindled to four due to unforeseen circumstances, a good time was had by all.

And no, it wasn’t that cold. That’s the question that everyone has asked. I expected it to be a lot colder than it was. We sufficiently bundled up in longjohns, parkas, boots, etc., and were quite toasty. A bit of schnapps in the pocket helped, too.

We also rode the light rail out to the Mall of America, but unfortunately didn’t get a whole lot of Christmas shopping done. There are no words to describe the MOA on a Saturday afternoon prior to Christmas. Zoo doesn’t seem to do it justice.

And so now, after being relaxed and Holidazzled over the weekend, today I feel myself feeling anxious and Holidazed. Too much to do, too little time. I’m sure there are many others out there who can relate to that feeling.
